DANZERO, son of DANEHILL, won the Golden Slipper [G1] as well as the VATC Blue Diamond Prelude [G3] as a juvenile, retiring to stud at 3 following a limited 9 start career resulting in 4 wins and 3 placings. Champion 2YO Sire for 2003-04, DANZERO finished 4th that year on the General Sires table (by earnings).

At stud, DANZERO is the sire of 32 SW’s (6 x G1 winners) incl. NICONERO, the 5 time G1 winner and recent Australian Cup [G1] victor, AJC Derby [G1] winner FAIRWAY, as well as DANCE HERO, a Golden Slipper [G1] winner like DANZERO himself. With stakes winning progeny victorious from 1000m to 2400m, DANZERO’s versatility s a sire is reflected in his consistent sales results (averaging over $109K at the majors in 2008) and runners-winners ratio (currently 58.9%).

This is the 4th foal for VIVA MIRANDA, the lightly raced dam of this filly. She has one winner at the track to date. Second dam, SP Tempest Command (2d VRC Wakeful S. [G2]; 4th VRC Oaks [G1]), is a half sister to SW VICTORY DASH and boasts 2 winners at stud. Third dam, SW WINGED PRAYER (AJC Analie S. [L]), is half sister to TIERCE, winner of Sydney’s 2YO grand slam - STC Golden Slipper S. [G1], the AJC Sires Produce [G1] and Champagne S. [G1], now a sire standing in China. WINGED PRAYER has a perfect record at stud (7 winners from 7 to race) incl. SW VICTORY DASH (above), as well as SP’s Tempest Command and Victory Command.

The filly had her first jumpout 24/2 over 650m at Caulfield. She was very relaxed in the gates, missed the start a little but mustered speed and finished off well for 3rd in a field of 7. She is likely to trial again shortly and if she does well in the trial then she will make her race debut in March.
