Officially named `Bertrand' now, the boy has had a big few months, finishing his breaking only a couple of weeks ago and receiving an exemplary report from breaker, Julian Welsh. He is now back at Ballarto Lodge resting before his first preparation in a couple of months.

A terrific day was had by all the `Ballarto Lodge Open Morning' in December. Although Members voted on a name, I can't reveal this just now as registration is still underway. Nevertheless, the colt is doing very well and is expected to go to the breakers later this month.

Members will meet at the stables in early December to not only meet one another,  but also to decide on a name for the colt who, until now, has affectionately been nicknamed `Cricket'.
